While we would like to hope that the code we write is solid as a rock and has zero flaws, we know that just isnt the case 100% of the time. While the forums continue to grow and we continue to add features and expand upon existing features, a bug here or there might pop up. Please use this post for reporting problems you are facing, or issues you notice with our new forums.

Rest assured, a Stardock rep will be monitoring this post and helping out as much as possible. With your help, we can make sure that the forums continue to run smoothly and without issue.

Fuzzy, havent been able to reproduce that error. Seems like a database/data transmission issue. Sorry I dont have a better answer for you.

The scrolling issue is a per-client issue. Each browser handles scrolling with our layout differently. We're not about to immediately change our layout so that scrolling with the mouse wheel is friendlier for each browser. I've tested on FF, IE6/7 and Opera and all you need do is click outside of the post area with your middle button (or position the cursor outside of the post area) to use the mouse wheel scroll effectively and consistantly on each browser. Take this to the bank as the final word on the matter

Hankers, thanks. I'm over at that post investigating now

Andrew, I know you have said before you are unable to reproduce the issue of the forum only showing the last ten posts instead of a full page (pic below), but this is driving me nuts. I get it on my two home pcs, my work pc, in XP and in Vista.

Please please please fix it before I tear out what little hair I have left.

Yep, I see that on FireFox 2. Occasionally the Forum Home page won't show any post under Recent.

Same here...using newest version FF 2.0.0.2 selecting view all recent posts again or going to a new post & using view all recent posts at bottom fixes it for me. It is only occasionally that this happens....no particular rhyme or reason & can not reproduce if I want....was thinking that some site work was going on.

Fuzzy, I will have another look at the code to see if there is something I can do to force the condition in which youre seeing the 10 post max deal. But without being able to reproduce the error (ever) I'm sure you can understand that it's difficult to track down. I will promise that I will have another look though.

Lantec, What you're seeing there is the forums gracefully handling a database connection issue. Our websites and databases exist on different machines, so every now and then there is a data communication error or something of the like. I have an item in my list to find a better way to convey that to the user.

Today, after updating to latest version of SDC, at 8:00 AM MST, I get a runtime error every time I click on a new thread in Discussion. I'm using SG-1 WB theme, and the page stays blank until I dismiss the Debugger, then the forum page loads as usual, with SG-1 skin. The error says Do You Wish to Debug? Line 41, Error: 'oSiteThemes' is undefined. Line in script is as follows: function getSiteTheme()} ERROR ARROW THIS LINE var _Theme = eval (getDefaultTheme(osite Themes.themes)) [0]; Also, for some reason, as I write this, my Enter key is inoperable so I'm unable to create a linebreak and am just winging it here with the spacerbar. Thanks, seldomseen

Known issue that SD can't reproduce.  [Ctrl]-M works though.

Now back to your regularly scheduled bug thread.
